A HUGE ‘thank you’ to Mark who set this up for me. I’m learning, so please bear with me. So, you may be wondering what I have been up to since my last post. Somehow, I have fallen WAY behind on my blogging. In the worlds of Bugga and Jammer, they have started ‘camp’. It’s three hours a day at the preschool. This is Jammer’s first time being away from me and she’s having a tough time adjusting, but gets better every day. In the world of knitting, I have actually been working fast and furious on some projects. Here’s what I’ve accomplished since I last posted:
1. Hubby’s socks – woo hoo! I had the cutest little tiny ball of yarn when I was done. I’m pretty happy that he has requested short socks for his next pair. I’ll start those when he wears the first pair.
2. Noni’s Harlequin Pillbox – I did this in Ohio while visiting my parents with the girls. It is rather large for my taste (the size of a Maxwell House coffee can – the big one). I like little evening bags. Big enough to carry lipstick and a tampon as my friend’s daughter put it. This one will get gifted to my favorite LYS owner. Maybe it can be a cute display for something at the store.
3. Monkey Socks for me – 1 done and off the needles, 1 to go.
4. Noni Adventure Bag – evening bag size. For my mom – it came out nice, but I must still finish it.
Today, I have been working on sewing a zipper and plastic canvasing the noni harlequin. It came out pretty good – I think Jo will like it.
Now for the interesting part of this week. I found out that I have a little friend in my pantry at night. He is of the rodent variety and he leaves his little droppings much to my chagrin. I have put out traps for him, but last night he left his presents 2″ from the trap. Smart little bugger. I have issues with my uninvited guest. I acutally don’t mind mice and don’t really want to hurt him, but the droppings and the eating of my food must stop! I will keep you posted on how this situation evolves.
